The nominating committee seeks nominations for two positions: (1) The National TYCA representative from TYCA-SE; (2) Regional Executive Committee member. The deadline for nominations for both positions is January 12, 2009. The National TYCA rep serves a three year term and must have previously served an elected position on the REC. Obligations include participation in REC meetings and attendance at TYCA National meetings at the NCTE and CCCC conferences. Click here to dowload the full call for nominations. Diverse Southern Voices: Gateway to Inspiration! The 2009 TYCA-SE Conference will be held in Greensboro, NC at the Greensboro Marriott Downtown . The theme of the conference is Diverse Southern Voices: Gateway to Inspiration. The featured speakers are Lucinda Mackethan, Darnell Arnoult, and Dr. Claude W. Barnes. We hope that you can join us in February 19-21, 2009 in the Gateway City. (Greensboro's O. Henry Statue)

Submit a presentation proposal for our TYCA-SE 2009 conference. The deadline to submit is November 1, 2008. Send proposals to Barbara Taylor (address included on proposal form).
